How to restore your car's headlights yourself in 4 steps?
Over time, headlights can yellow, become dull, or show small scratches. This detracts from the vehicle's aesthetics and can reduce lighting quality.

Here's how to restore your car headlights yourself using a kit including an atomization cup, repair liquid, an adapter, and sandpaper.
1. Clean and protect the headlight
Clean the headlight thoroughly, then dry it. Then, protect the paint and seals around the lens with several strips of masking tape.

2. Sand with progressive grits
Sand the surface with abrasive papers from the coarsest to the finest grit. Work steadily until you achieve a uniform, smooth surface. Wash the headlight to remove residue, then let it dry completely.

3. Prepare the repair liquid
Pour the recommended amount of liquid into the atomization cup and close the lid properly. Plug in the device with its adapter, then wait for steam to appear.
Use the product in a very well-ventilated area, wear the protective equipment recommended by the manufacturer, and avoid inhaling the vapors.

4. Apply steam and let dry
Hold the steam outlet approximately 1 cm from the headlight, without touching its surface. Move it slowly and evenly to achieve a consistent result. Once the treatment is complete, unplug the device and let the headlight dry without touching it.

A cleaner result in a few steps
Restoring your car headlights yourself can reduce yellowing and superficial scratches without immediately replacing the lenses. Always follow the kit's instructions, drying times, and safety precautions. If the headlight is cracked, severely damaged, or has an internal defect, have it inspected by a professional.
