Which robot or vacuum cleaner to choose for your swimming pool or spa?

This collection currently includes four cordless cleaning devices for pools, spas, or small basins, as well as a compatible Aiper Seagull SE replacement loop set. This is not a complete water treatment range. To choose, start with the dimensions of the basin, its bottom, and the areas that the device actually needs to clean.

The four criteria to check

  • The basin: check dimensions, depth, shape, bottom type, and compatibility with above-ground, in-ground pool, or spa.
  • The cleaned area: distinguish between bottom only, walls, waterline, or manual use according to the indicated functions.
  • Battery life: compare cycle duration and charging time with the area to be covered, with a realistic margin.
  • Compatibility: check filters, brushes, charging cables, and exact references for any replacement part.

Which device according to your installation?

A small handheld vacuum is suitable for a spa or a localized area. A robot designed for above-ground pools can automate bottom cleaning within the announced shape and surface limits. Models with navigation try to optimize their path, but steps, corners, and slopes still need to be checked. Aiper loops are not a robot: order them only for the explicitly compatible reference.

Tips before and after the cycle

Remove large objects, check water chemistry, and follow the manufacturer's immersion conditions. Charge the device dry, away from the basin, then remove it using the intended method without pulling on a cable not designed for that. Clean the filter and brushes after each cycle, let dry, and store in a frost-free place. Never use an accessory whose compatibility remains uncertain.

To remember: basin, covered area, cycle duration, and compatible parts determine the most suitable robot.
